Manitoba ASCD recognizes the importance of its members’ privacy and the sensitivity of personal information. We are committed to protecting privacy in its collection, use, and distribution of personal information. Information below outlines how Manitoba ASCD manages its members’ personal information and safeguards privacy.

What is personal information?
Personal information refers to information about an identifiable individual such as name, age, income, ethnic origin, personal email, home addresses, and phone numbers but does not include the work title, business address or telephone number of an individual

Collecting personal information
Manitoba ASCD does not collect or use individual’s personal information other than to create a mailing list for distribution of MB ASCD materials and/or provide professional development opportunities This information is collected voluntarily from members or from conference or workshop registration forms, generally listing their positions as educators (i.e teachers, principals, guidance counsellors, etc).

Security of information
Manitoba ASCD takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that this information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access, or disclosure. Technological safeguards such as computer passwords, security software, and firewalls to prevent hacking or unauthorized computer access are used.

Changes to this policy
Manitoba ASCD periodically reviews all its policies and procedures and as such, may change this Privacy Policy from time to time.
